Although Evan is not the most academically inclined student around, his enthusiasm to do his best more than makes up for his losses. At times his energetic persona can also be labeled as annoying cheerful or his playful attitude as irresponsible. He is simple minded in the things that make him happy and is easy to please. The teen tends not to dwell on the negatives of a situation and can easily breeze through serious subjects with a smile by playing it off to keep the mood lighthearted. Even if told off by others Evan easily bounces back with the same eagerness as before. Very rarely can a topic bring down his cheerful spirit even if he does feel emotionally hurt. So far he is under the impression that everyone and anyone is a friend.

He avoids negative situations and confrontations like the plague and may physically run or make an escape if he feels the conversation is leading towards an uncomfortable topic. He strongly believes the less he knows the better, and has no interest in trying to understand or figure out the deeper drama. Although Evan is rather oblivious to when he's earned someone's dislike, when he does notice he can be easily affected. What the boy fears the most is upsetting or being rejected by those he holds in high regards. His sensitivity towards gaining their approval makes him naive in the belief that by choosing neutrality in a fight he could please both sides without putting either relationship in danger. His slow uptake on picking up another's dislike is crippling and can be a double-edged sword.

The teen has a tendency to trust others too easily and pays for it dearly. Evan's emotions are never masked, or more so that he does not have the capacity to hide his feelings from others. He loves to please others and is quick to idolize his peers when he witnesses something that deems them worthy enough to be placed on a pedestal. His slight hero-worship complex does not always work well when paired with his trusting nature. A downfall of an idol can mean a lot to the young teen. On the other hand, if noticed by those he believes are idol worthy, the smallest of praises can brighten his day even if they are not necessarily aimed at his most positive traits.

Despite his appearance, Evan has lived all his life in Japan under the care of his grandparents. His parents, having had married young, found out early on that they were not quite ready yet to settle down to properly raise a young child. Unfortunately they were still caught up in the thrill of the adventure as freelance nature photographers and were not willing to choose a more tamed lifestyle to make room for their son. Evan's grandparents, who were living in Japan, graciously offered to in their grandson and have since then been raising him to the best of their ability. Since then his grandparents have had scarce contact with his parents as the only form of communication came as checks in the mail. His grandparents, during the first years, had remained hopeful that his parents would eventually grow up into their parental responsibilities and become more involved with their son's life; however, that wish has yet to be fulfilled. Although Evan does know of the reasoning behind the absence of his parents in his life, he chooses to act blissfully ignorant in acknowledging them or bringing up their existence. His grandparents efforts to interest their grandson in his parents have been met with disregard. As far as he is concerned, his grandparents have been all that he has needed and more.

Growing up, Evan spent the majority of his time running around the small ice cream parlor that his grandparents run in Seiiki. It is not a grand building by any standard but is large enough to include a second story for himself and his grandparents to live in comfortably. Evan wouldn't describe the shop as being insanely popular but there were enough regulars, including many elderly and school children, who visited the shop from time to time to keep it up and running. The cheerful environment of the parlor became an important influence in his life growing up and he learned to idolize and respecting the work his grandparents put into raising him on their own. Its friendly atmosphere and kind customers easily persuaded the young boy into seeing them as an extension of his own family as well.

During his first years, Evan spent the majority of his time at the ice cream parlor and neglected to make lasting relationships with his peers. Instead of play dates, he would prefer to hangout as the ice cream parlor helping around or just observing the various customers who stopped by. Other children his age could only take so much of the boy's willingness to eat ice cream for every meal and soon became tired of his dismissal for play dates in favor of going back to the shop. Although the young boy was hurt by the lack of 'close' friends and their interest in ice cream, he did his best to hide his loneliness from his grandparents. Thankfully it was in middle school that Evan soon met and made his best friend, Jun when the later visited the shop one hot day. Much to his pleasure, they shared quite a few things in common including the fact that the other boy was more than welcoming to being constantly dragged off to the shop to eat more ice cream. It has become well known for his peers and grandparents to acknowledge that where one is the other can be found somewhere close by. The prospect of attending his first year of high school has the young teen vibrating with barely concealed enthusiasm.

If he could eat ice cream for every meal he would.
Loves playing games ! Mainly handheld consoles or UFO machines.
Current favorite game is Love Live ! He has a crush on Kotori...
Uses a ridiculous amount of emojis while texting because he believes it sounds more enjoyable that way...
When dressed casually he often has a hat and a backpack !
The smell of blood makes him want to barf.
His first pet was a cockroach he named Fredrick much to his grandparents' dismay.....
